Nissan has announced a small price increase for the 2015 Altima, which now starts at $23,110 including destination.
That makes the 2015 model about $500 more expensive than the previous year’s model, thanks to some new standard equipment a slight improvement in fuel economy. Three different trim levels are available for the Altima, S, SV and SL, with the most expensive 3.5L SL trim topping the price charts at $32,760.
Two engines are available with the Altima, either a 182-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 270 hp. It is only the V6 that sees a fuel economy improvement for 2015, bumping up one mpg in both the city and on the highway for a new total of 23 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.
As for standard content, the two top trimmed cars, the 3.5L SL and SV, now get NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps, Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection and Lane Departure Warning as standard equipment.
In addition, an 8-way power driver’s seat and 2-way power lumbar support is now standard for 2.5 SV and 3.5 SV models, while any beige interior-equipped models now receive black carpeting and lower seat side trim. New fog lights are now standard on the 2.5 SV trim level and intelligent climate control is being added to models equipped with the remote engine start system.
